SPACE talks about SEX & Sexuality in India in New Delhi on 30th october 2012

Written by Tritha on 25 October 2012, 01:10

What’s up Bharat in collaboration with Equal India Alliance and SPACE present :

“Why shy” ?

Exploring one of the most innate instincts that we humans have – our sexual nature. Let’s talk about sex, about sexuality, and much more.

A session exploring our willingness, or lack thereof, to honestly and openly discuss sex and sexuality through an interactive Forum Theatre session with the Equal India Alliance.

Topics of discussion:

The following are the topics of discussion for the evening:

To understand that being sexual is not a bad thing (eliminating taboos about your own sexuality).

To appreciate, understand, and be open about the fluidity of sex, sexuality, and how people express it.

To inculcate a sense of responsibility in youth regarding talking about sex and propagating open and honest talks with siblings, friends, and possibly their kids later on, and not be hesitant about it.

Equal India Alliace: Equal India Alliance is a movement to build welcoming environments for India’s LGBT community, principally at colleges and in the workplace.

Space: SPACE is a journey seen from the eyes of the modern indian woman. Musicians from various parts of the world keep boarding and sharing their human experiences through musical conversations and keep adding to the voyage in SPACE..

Join us for a fun evening of openly discussing SEX with Tushar M from Equal India Alliance and a heartwarming performance in conversations by the SPACE cadets: Tritha Sinha, Ritika Singh and Paul Schneiter.

The evening will later be followed by a live performance by Jehu, from Rio De Jika.

Date: 30th Ocotber, 2012

Time: 5:00pm onwards

Venue: What’s up Bharat, 1 Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi 110016
